About the Race
The race starts and finishes near Gentry Middle School. It is sponsored by the Boonslick Kiwanis club. Jeff Shikles was a local veterinarian that died in 2008. He was an exceptional member of the Boonslick Kiwanis and a runner. He was a veterinarian, highly respected by his peers, his clients and his many friends. He was a member of the Kiwanis Board of Directors and a past President of the Boonslick Kiwanis Club. We remember Jeff with great affection for his friendship and joy of life he brought to all he met.
Proceeds to benefit Camp Kesem. Camp Kesem is a program offered by Kesem, a nationwide non-profit organization driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.
