What is the distance?
We offer a 50K and 25K.

Where do I sign up?

 

 

                 

How much does it cost?
$50/50K, $50/25K. No race day registration or refunds. Park management reserves the right to cancel the race due to adverse conditions.

Can I change my distance after I sign up?
Runners can sign into their UltraSignup account and change their distance (no refund if price is less) or transfer their entry to another runner up until one week before the event. You can cancel your registration up to 3 days before the race but no refund.

After signing in, click on Account Info, Registration History, select Edit next to the race name. From the Registration Edit screen you can change the distance, transfer or cancel (no refunds) your registration.  Please feel free to contact us if questions. If you decide to change your distance after the race starts, you will receive a DNF and not receive a finishing time.

How many people can participate?
This is race is limited to 175 participants across all 2 events.

When does the race start?
October 14, 2023 – 7:00 a.m. for the 50K and 8:00 a.m. for the 25K.

What is the course like?
The course is 100% single track trail with a variety of terrain and creek crossings. The 25K course will be one loop on the Devil’s Ice Box Trails, cross over Hwy 163, and one loop on the Gans Creek Wild Area Trails. The 50K is 2 loops of the 25K course.

What is the time limit?
The time limit to complete the course is 8 hours.

Are there aid stations?
2 aid stations (Devil’s Icebox Parking Lot and Wagon Wheel Trailhead) in the 25K & 5 aid stations (Devil’s Icebox Parking Lot – 2 times, Wagon Wheel Trailhead – 2 times, and start/finish) in the 50K stocked with a variety of food, water and drinks. Approximate distance between aid stations for 1 loop is 6 mi, 9 mi, 13.5 mi, 15 mi. 50K racers can leave a drop bag at the start to access before their second loop.

Where is the packet pickup and check in?
Race Headquarters will be located in the Billy Gilbert Shelter located in the upper parking lot of Rock Bridge State Park. Packet pickup will be held the day before the race from 3:00-6:00 at Tryathletics, 1605 Chapel Hill Rd, Columbia. Packets will be available at the race site after 6:00 a.m. on race day. All participants will be required to check in at Race Headquarters on race day.

Will there be post-race food?
Lunch (Pancheros Burritos) for finishers after 11.

Will there be prizes?
Cash Award for Overall Male & Female in the 25K & 50K. 25K & 50K will receive a short sleeve t-shirt.
