Alex Ratelle, the medical doctor from Minneapolis, ran the Heart of America Marathon eight times, winning the age 40+ award every one
of those eight times, with a personal best of 2:53:33 in 1969. He still has the 50+ record of 2:54:40, set in 1975, the last year he
ran HOA.
